Arrival and Welcome
Arrive into Florence. Following transfers to your first hotel, a five-star villa perched above the city, spend the afternoon relaxing at the hotel and enjoying its amenities, or venture into the Old Town. In the afternoon you will meet our representative for a detailed handover of your chosen vehicle for your self-guided driving holiday through Tuscany.
First Drive Day
The drive begins with the beautiful tarmac of a Strade Statali road that will take you out of Florence and into the Chianti countryside. In the afternoon, trace the vine-covered hillsides around San Gimignano before arriving into a medieval village turned five-star property. Spend the rest of the day sipping cocktails by the pool, then enjoy dinner at the hotel's Michelin-starred restaurant
Second Drive Day
The second day of the drive delivers an enjoyable morning loop on some technical roads to the south of Siena. We will traverse postcard-worthy rolling hills, painted with wheat fields and cypress trees that create the most perfect Tuscan landscape.
Third Drive Day
Your third and final driving day takes you back to Florence via the stunning backroads that criss-cross the countryside north of the city. Upon your return to Florence, trade car keys for a glass of champagne and celebrate an unforgettable getaway experiencing the best of Tuscany.
Optional Local Experience | Departures
On the final morning of your self-guided driving holiday through Italy, you can enjoy a well-earned sleep-in and leisurely start to the day before onward travel plans. Alternatively, should your travel plans permit, spend the day in Florence and explore the local ateliers and boutiques, or wander through the beautiful and historic Old Town.
